To what extent are the witches responsible for what happens to Macbeth? I am arc to write about how the witches are responsible for the events in Macbeth and how they bear to the cope with. People in Shakespeares time were alert of witchcraft. They believed that it was powerful, as witches were considered devil worshippers and were taken very seriously, especially by tycoon James 1st who was fascinated with them as well. He considered himself to be an expert in witchcraft because he someoneally bang it in a storm. He even believed that witches controlled the weather. Shakespeare had witches in his short-change to explore the subject of evil and wanted to warn others of the dangers of witchcraft. However, Macbeth is in like manner responsible for what happens in the play. The play begins in Act 1, vista 1 with the witches meeting, talking about the battle between Scotland and Norway that has non been won yet. The witches then talk about meeting with Macbeth, af terwards he has won the battle.
